Jermaine C.A.D Samuel, LLb(Hon), P.G. Dip (Law), CCM, also known as King Singing Sudden is a young, vibrant Calypsonian who has mastered the art of story telling and fiction into Calypso. After winning a few crowns on the Police Calypso stage, he entered the national Calypso Monarch Competition in 2013 securing the First Runner Up position.
Carnival 2023[edit]
For the 2023 carnival season, King Singing Sudden will enter the Calypso Monarch Competition with two pieces:
- Taxi English (a humorous piece)
- Life Goes On (strong message piece)
Both songs were written by King Singing Sudden and arranged by Mr. Rupert "Junie" Edwards. Both songs depict true authentic Calypso, sticking to its Rhythm and Use of Language. Lastly, both songs were constructed or created with the intention to touch the elements of Calypso that most Calypsonians ignore which are humorous lyrics and beautiful music.
